<p>We are hiring a <strong>Clinical Social Worker</strong> for a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The Clinical Social Worker will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychosocial care to patients and families, supporting emotional well-being, facilitating access to community resources, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will have strong experience in hospital-based social work, case management, crisis intervention, and discharge planning, with the ability to support patients across diverse medical, mental health, and social care needs.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong>
<ul>
<li>Conduct comprehensive <strong>psychosocial assessments</strong> for patients and families to identify emotional, behavioral, environmental, financial, and social factors affecting treatment and recovery.</li>
<li>Provide <strong>individual, family, and group counseling</strong> to support coping, adjustment, grief, trauma, illness management, and behavioral health needs.</li>
<li>Deliver <strong>crisis intervention</strong> for patients experiencing acute psychosocial distress, domestic violence, abuse, neglect, self-harm risk, bereavement, or other urgent social concerns.</li>
<li>Develop and implement <strong>care plans</strong> in collaboration with physicians, nurses, psychologists, case managers, and allied health professionals.</li>
<li>Lead and support <strong>discharge planning</strong> to ensure safe transitions of care, including coordination with rehabilitation centers, long-term care, home healthcare, community agencies, and social support services.</li>
<li>Advocate for patient rights, informed decision-making, safeguarding, and access to appropriate services and benefits.</li>
<li>Identify and report <strong>safeguarding concerns</strong>, including child protection, elder abuse, neglect, domestic violence, and vulnerable adult cases, in line with UAE laws and hospital policies.</li>
<li>Support patients and families in navigating <strong>chronic illness, disability, palliative care, oncology care, mental health conditions, and end-of-life issues</strong>.</li>
<li>Coordinate referrals to internal and external <strong>community resources</strong>, social services, mental health support programs, financial aid resources, and rehabilitation services.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and timely <strong>clinical documentation</strong>, case notes, assessments, interventions, and follow-up plans in the hospital information system / EMR.</li>
<li>Participate in <strong>multidisciplinary team meetings</strong>, case conferences, family meetings, and ethical consultations.</li>
<li>Educate patients, caregivers, and staff on psychosocial issues, coping strategies, and available support services.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with <strong>hospital standards, UAE healthcare regulations, patient confidentiality, and professional ethics</strong>.</li>
<li>Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and departmental audits related to psychosocial care services.</li>
</ul><strong>Requirements</strong>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in social work</li>
<li>Master’s degree in social work</li>
<li>Minimum <strong>2–5 years</strong> of experience in <strong>clinical / hospital social work</strong></li>
<li>Experience in <strong>psychosocial assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and discharge planning</strong></li>
<li><strong>DOH / DHA / MOH eligibility or active license</strong> preferred</li>
<li>Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills</li>
<li><strong>Arabic and UAE experience</strong> are an advantage</li>
