<p><u>Key Accountabilities:</u></p><ul><li>Review existing Process Controls related to structural works, propose changes and manage implementation with assistance of respective Department Managers. This also includes Dimension Control.</li><li>Oversee distribution of structural jobs, especially in New Building/ EPC/ Conversion Projects. This includes deciding work centers, manhours allocation and estimated time required</li><li>Contribute towards managing high value CAPEXes associated with Structural Works by means of proposing, technically justifying, calculating ROI and providing to Management/ Departments the necessary dossier.</li><li>Study new technologies related to Shipyard business and present to Management/ Departments for evaluation of implementation.</li><li>Review the DAP and Build methodology and review possibilities for manhour optimization and cost saving through Automation, Process Change, WPS change.</li><li>Support Fabrication Dept for IOC,COQ issues and coordinate on lesson learnt and implementation process.</li><li>Ensure employees are aware and follow the information Security Rules and data security measures in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties.</li><li>Lead the team in the work scope carried out by the Planners/ Team Members for the Central Planning for the Yard Manpower Resource Planning and fabrication space Planning.</li><li>Liaise with Project Planners / Trade Planners / Commercial / Trade managers / Bid Support Team/ Procurment for the Central Planning requirements.</li><li>Develop various historical data in terms of Yard capacities and capabilities, which will be used for various strategic decision making.</li><li>Develop yard central planning cell, taking into account the future and current needs of Overall, Yard resource requirement.</li><li>Provide on the job training to the subordinates and succession plan within the department.</li><li>Keep look out for new technologies related to Shipyard business.</li><li>Flag gaps &amp; propose improvements in the existing Process Control.</li><li>Oversee Production Planning aspects of structural works.</li><li><p>Follow up on structural CAPEXes both technically as well as from implementation.</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p><u>Education/ Qualifications &amp; Skills:</u></p><ul><li>Bachelors in Engineering in any Discipline.</li><li>15+ years working experience in Shipyard or Offshore/ Oil &amp; Gas Industry with minimum of 3 to 5 years as a Planning Head.</li><li>15 years’ experience in Structural Works and having proven competency.</li><li>Good knowledge of Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project and Other MS office application.</li><li>Sound knowledge in Project Controls and Yard resource Planning functions.</li><li>Technical Knowledge of Structural Fabrication works.</li><li>Ability to study technical drawings.</li></ul>
